Amphawa The Evening Floating Market

Two hours north from Hua-Hin to the famous Maeklong Market. This typical Thailand market full of fruits and sea foods and much more is not so typical after all. It is situated right on top of the train tracks. Watch as the train approaches and the market miraculously move to let it pass. Only about 20 minutes away is Samut Songkhram Province and dinner at a local restaurant. Walk around the weekend market. At dusk, a canal boat float on the river. The Bridge Over the River Kwai (Second world war history)

Travel by minibus to Kanchanaburi to see the world – famous bridge over the River Kwai, visit the JEATH Museum where the lives of the P.O.W’s during the 2nd world war are portrayed through many photographs, illustrations and relics. Time will be given to explore the area by train across the bridge along the death railway. Visit the well–kept cemeteries containing the graves of an estimated 9,000 Allied. Station for lunch at a local restaurant.

Floating Market and River Kwai

A good opportunity for you to visit two famous places on a day trip. At Damnern Saduak floating market, we take a boat trip along the canals to the market. The tour continues to Kanchanaburi, the world-famous bridge over River Kwai, a short journey by train along the death railway. Visit the 2nd world war museum and the well-kept cemetery.

Floating Market Plus Petchaburi

From our beach resort we journey toward Ratchaburi province, stopping enroute at a home – made sugar palm factory, a major crop grown and harvested in these parts. On arrival at Damnern Saduak, we board our boat for a fascinating cruise through the canals (Klong) leading to the market. Catch a glimpse here teetering on the major selling point every day. Driving back to explore Petchaburi, the impressive summer residence “Khao Wang”. A stop here will afford time to visit the palace and enjoy a fine vista of the town, and surrounding rice fields.

Petchaburi, Ancient City

50 – minutes drive to visit Khao Wang; a summer residence on the hillside, built by King Mongkut (Rama IV) in the last century. Explore Khao Luang Cave housing 170 Buddha statues, proceed to admire the Khmer architecture at TempleWat Prasrimahathat. Lunch at a restaurant in Petchaburi before returning to your hotel.

River Trip at Pranburi

Following a 1/2-hour drive from Hua-Hin, we will visit a typical Thai fruit plantation that grows bananas, pineapples, mangoes, coconuts, papayas and more. Some fruits will be prepared for you to taste. From here board a small motor-boat for an hour’s leisurely ride down the river. Witness the constantly changing scenery and birdlife and as you approach the entrances to the Gulf pass by the myriad of fishing boats that have returned to Dock after a night of work.

We take a fascinating walk on an elevated platform over a mangrove swamp. Our guide will point out interesting details about the flora and fauna here.

Sam Roi Yod National Park

A one-hour drive from Hua-Hin through pineapple and coconut plantations of Sam Roi Yod. Visit an unspoiled typical Thai fishing village and then by boat to the beach below Phrayanakorn Cave. The climb to the cave is quite rigorous. After lunch, there will be time for leisure on the beach. Those not wishing to climb may spend more time on the beach.

Pala-U Waterfall

The journey to the jungle west of Hua-Hin takes you through a region of uninhabited peaks and valleys to the Pala-U Waterfall. After a nature walk through the forest, you reach the first level of the Waterfall where you can then continue to climb up to the fourth or fifth stage.
